The Irish music and dancing workshops of the
Proïtzer Mühle have become my favorite events, and this for many reasons. First of all, there is the high quality of the teachers selected to give the classes. This year, it was again Patrick O'Dea that was invited to give sean nos and steps for sets, while Mick Mulkerrin took care of the set dancing. Also the fact that you can follow as many classes as you wish, and this for one set price, is a strong point. Nobody, except me, was foolish enough to take all dancing classes, i.e. three in the morning and four in the afternoon: a nice 8.5 hour of dancing. For a full board arrangement, including tuition, the fee was just 250 €. No, that doesn't include drinking in the bar during the evening sessions or the ceili but prices such as 2 € for a Guinness or cidre or large bottle of orange juice are not such that you would prefer to remain thirsty. And I can guarantee you, the food is excellent !
