Welcome to my site which contains useful information for people that share the passions in my life. That is primarily traditional folk music and dance, in particular Irish dancing and Bal Folk. There is also some material on Argentinian tango and Flamenco. And since dancing gives good appetite, I maintain also a section on Wining and dining.
What you will not find here is material about my last passion, i.e. Formal ontology for semantic web technology. Yeah, I know, it sounds odd, but it allows me to afford the others, and yes, isn't it nice to have your work as a passion too ?
The only sad thing is that I had to give up, at least temporarily another passion: aikido, what I practised for 11 year with Tobu Chiku Aikikai and Aikido Club Moortebeek.

The site is mainly organised around the several events in which I participated: loads of pictures, video clips and dance descriptions, and over all, a huge collection of pointers to relevant material available elsewhere on the web. Textual hyperlinks are easy to spot, but do not forget to click on the images as well. The majority of them hide links too.
You can use the calendar page to find interesting events where you might encounter me. However, send an email to be sure, since quite often, events overlap and I tend to make decisions rather late.

The site is primarily in English (at least the kind of English spoken in Flanders), but hyperlinks may point to web pages in any language. If you are not familiar with other languages than Dutch, I suggest you to read the material we write for Dansroddels.
